Matt brings 12 years Senior HR management and Executive Director experience to Workplace Conflict Resolution.
After completing a degree in Management (Majoring in HR), Matt has worked in Community Services/Not for Profits, Local Government, Travel, and Hospitality. During this time, he has started HR/OD and People & Culture functions in various organisations, led Learning and Development teams, managed complex issues relating to IR, ER and EBA negotiations and has many years of experience leading highly engaged teams in challenging industries and environments.
Matt is passionate about developing constructive leadership capabilities in others so they may better empower, engage and enhance performance in their own team members.
As an accredited practitioner of Roche Martin's Emotional Capital Reports, he has coached hundreds of organisational leaders in understanding their impact on workplace cultures through facilitating self and 360 degree assessments of Emotional Intelligence and conducting feedback sessions that encourage learning, real change and growth.
Matt has been a Councillor of AHRI in Victoria since 2015 and manages the L&D professional network as well as two regional networks in Geelong and Gippsland. As a certified practitioner of HR Matt is a passionate advocate for the industry in this volunteer role.
Matt is an experienced public speaker and trainer and has completed the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. His experience and success in delivering leadership development programs has led to an opportunity to lead an experiential leadership program on the Camino de Santiago in Northern Spain.
Matt spent 7 years working in Adventure Travel at Peregrine Adventure and has worked and travelled in 6 continents driving zodiacs in Antarctica, taking tours to remote Aboriginal historical sites in Central Australia, walking the Kokoda Track and is looking forward to many future adventures.
